Amalia Olympia is located in the entrance of Ancient Olympia, around 20 kilometers from Pyrgos. The center of the town is one and a half kilometers away along with the archaeological site, the stadium and the rest of the sacred temples. The Archaeological Museum housing the famous sculptures of Hermes of Praxiteles, Nike of Paeonius and other findings is situated opposite the site as well. The sanctuary of Olympia spreads around the foot of Kronion Hill where rivers Alpheios and Kladeos meet in the valley.
